Balance.

Had a 'interesting' ride into work this morning. 6 am, dark, no moon. The roads had a sparkle to it from the street lighting and I think to myself, is that reflection from moisture or ice?

I find it is a mix of both. I had a decidedly twitchy ride, a few 'Mmmmm' moments as I felt the wing slide slightly in a few spots. However I maintained control of the wing throughout. The ride was cautious with absolutely no harsh throttle movements with much use of the wings superb engine braking. I didn't crawl along but I didn't open the throttle fully as I sometimes have the urge to do.

Still it all adds to the knowledge of the bikes handling and my experience in such conditions.

Ride safe people.

I have to admit I don't envy your ride at night. It was down to zero last night and will be in the minus tonight and then hopefully will slowly warm up a bit (north west England).
Take care.

Joyce, my only fear is putting the bike down the road in any weather/road condition. The cold weather doesn't phase me in the slightest. I have always dressed according to the weather. (Thats good old military training for you I'm afraid).

I do have the use of my car but nothing beats a ride. A car journey I find quite mundane and boring, whereas the bike keeps me focused - and some!!!!Todays Lesson Fresse
