Introduction

Hello I am Mike.. an old git at 56. Bought a Piaggio Xevo 400 last year. Fantastic machine, regrettfully i was made redundant last August so the bike has only covered 2000 miles

Would like to ride with other like minded folk. I used to have two wheels many years ago and then I would travel any and everywhere on my machines, rain, snow whatever.

It would be great to revive my passion. Need some encouragement

Welcome Mike, the only encouragement we need is the sun, should soon be with us. I am also work poor and time rich, how far do you like riding in a day? I will soon be doing a ride to Wales and the Lake district when we get a dry spell. I don't bother booking into anywhere, and usually go where the roads take me.

Sounds like me 20 years ago on my old CZ 250. Used to do potholing down the Mendips (not any more I am afraid )
Travel was then from East Sussex so about 180 miles one way...rain or shine
Toured for two weeks, 2 up (big blokes) on an old CZ175 all around Devon, Cornwall, Exmoor, Dartmoor etc in November. Not one particularly dry day. Never booked anywhere, just called in and stayed BnB.... lovely!!
Since I have had my "piggy" shamefully its only been to work and back (20 miles ).

We had planned a trip to Brugge (Belgium) back in September. But being made redundant it was not possible.... sadly

Would have been the first time for my partner to ride pillion too damn it

Welcome to the forum, we like new members to visit our little old meet every two months or so. The Grumpy Old Gits meet at Alton in Hampshire in the station car park for a meal and natter mid week. Please try and make one if you can.
