PostSubject: Outdoor covers   Outdoor covers EmptyMon Nov 30, 2009 8:41 am

I don't know about you guys but my Silverwing has to live outside all year round. So that end I insist on having a very good quality cover to keep it safe from the elements.

For the last four years or so I have used a cover I stumbled upon on a classic car web site. However, they do covers for motorcycles too. The covers are not pretty nor what some would call fashionable. But what they do is what the cover was intended and that is keeping my steed from all that rain, hail, sleet and bird droppings to name a but a few of what creation can throw at us.

I was going to replace the cover when I moved up from my 400 Burger to the Wing but as the cover fitted, (at a stretch), and was still serviceable I thought why? However, I noticed the last time I placed the cover over that I was putting too much strain upon the stitching when stretching the cover over. Mainly due to me adding a back rest for the mem saab, her comfort is my reason for living (I am told).

So any of you UK riders who need a quality cover that will keep your machine under cover and will put up with gale force winds, then Hamilton Classic Ltd are the covers you need. Trust me, they are superb. At £65, ($107US), ($117A) + P&P they aren't the cheapest but there longevity pays dividends.

Yahoooo, I got the link to work. Third time lucky.

I always use db bike covers. They are light, waterporrf, windproof and fit my bike perfectly.
