Hi All,

Nice to find a UK site to log into. My mates all call me Skippy and I have two Silverwings - a 1983 GL 650 & a '04 FJS 600; so I count myself very lucky.

I'm based in the SW of UK and am relatively new to scooters, having ridden bikes most of my career. Now, due to circumstances, I've made the move to an automatic bike/scoot and absolutely love it Smile

I served with HMF for 15 years and then became a custom bike painter. The business closed last year when the boss retired and since then I've been 'doing my own thing'! A recent trip to hospital has left me shy a wing, but that doesn't stop me riding - infact if anything, its spured me on!

I'll be working at the SW Motorcycle show over the coming bank holiday weekend and will be on the BLESMA Riders Club/West Country Drifters stand, so if anybody is planning to come along please stop by and say hello (I'm the one easily recognisable - all will become apparent if you come along Smile )

Welcome to the forum.

Was the wing removal because of a brachial plexus injury?

Welcome Skippy, this forum isn't as well frequented as the US sites but we tend to go for quality not frequency on here.

Hi Skippy, welcome to the forum.

Off to Cornwall twice in the next week or so. First will be to attend my uncle's funeral and then on 3rd Sept to visit the rest of the family.
