Dave, are you able to pen a few lines on the Van Van for those of us who have not yet had the pleasure of riding one of them?

Thanks in anticipation!

Very Happy

PS. I hope the you're feeling less hamstrung now!

... I should add that I'm NOT taking the Mickey, Dave. I really would value YOUR comments on the Van Van.

Cheers!

Keith, Not for a minute did I think you were taking the 'Mickey',
I will get around to posting something, I will be going to the Ace Saturday, which will be its first ride since the first service, it is a good easy bike to live with, everything is easy to get at, I've put on Sat-nav, screen, gaitors, mudflaps, top box, which all help to slow it down, I could not reach 30 mph going over the Queen Elizabeth bridge when running in, the engine seemed very tight to me,
Why there are not more bikes with 8'' rear fat tyres I don't know, Pot holes I just ride over them, every time I go out I just have to get it dirty.
I will be trying to get it into the Berlingo soon, I brought a motocross ramp, which is foldable, like a step ladder which should help, but it is very light, I can pick the back up and turn it around,
I think you know Nick Staib, that is on the Suzukivanvan.co.uk site. Plenty of good stuff on that site.
The vanvan would be to small for you I think, although Nick is a 6 footer.
Regards
Dave

The VanVan fits inside my Berlingo, all I need to do is take out the rear seats, and remove the mirrors on the bike, I will now be able to drive overnight to where ever I want to tour around, now planning routes (New Welsh Highland railway and Scotland East coast).

Dave,

You are begining to sound like some of those Harley boys who truck their bikes abroad, tour for 150 miles, then truck them back. Ha Ha! Laughing I thought you were made of sterner stuff and would ride the bike everywhere. It has got to be cheaper as well. Retired people have a little more time.

lol!

That sounds like a good plan, Dave. I'd hate to ride a 125 to Scotland but, once there, I'd love to have one to potter about on.

Don't forget to post photos! Very Happy

Sundays ride around Bushy and Richmond Parks for your information

I did 115 miles without filling up the small tank and the low fuel light was just coming on.
I think some money needs spending on the Thames flood defences, the first bit on utube is o/s the pub at Kew, the river is still tidal at that point.
The royal park at Kew is culling little Bambies, so they are closing the roads inside it, while doing so.
